Urban Hiking in Lucca

More than 10 years ago the tourist guides of Siena invented this unique activity of combining exercise with city sightseeing; it’s an ideal way to discover the beautiful city of Lucca in more depth as our hike will take us to all different angles of Lucca and we’ll get to know it well. 

We’ll visit the most famous parts of Lucca such as the Roman Amphitheatre, the Piazza of San Michele in Foro with its imposing church, the large Piazza Napoleone with its Ducal Palace and the Cathedral of Saint Martin. But we’ll also visit the less frequented areas of the city like the area on the East side where we can find the lovely botanical garden, the Villa Bottini set in large gardens and the Road of the Fossi (Moats), once the medieval moat of Lucca.
