A stroll through Sant’Andrea di Compito, the village of camellias.
The first camellias begin to bloom in February, while in March the camellias blossom in all their splendour. Relax in this peaceful village at the foot of the Pisan Mountains on an easy hike that leads to old churches and mills, country houses and majestic villas and even a medieval signal tower. You will be amazed to discover a small tea plantation and also a public garden where only camellias grow, the Camellietum.
Difficulty level: Easy – 5 km – 75 m ↑↓
Duration: 4 hours (hike and visit to the Camellietum)
